Tag, You're It!

One of my awesome Blogger friends, Anita Grace Howard, has tagged me in a rather odd but hilarious meme. So without further ado, here are my answers:

Are you a rutabaga?
No. Why, do you know something you're not telling me?

When was the last time you ate lion meat?
I wouldn't dare mess with the king of the jungle.

Upload a heartwarming picture of something that makes you smile.
Hubs and I on our honeymoon in St. Lucia - the best vacation ever!! This pic definitely makes me smile because it's goofy and brings back awesome memories. We had a romantic dinner on the beach and while we were waiting for our food, we got a little silly. (Don't worry, Hubs gave me permission to post this pic.) Side note - I won second place in a beer drinking competition AND ate fire during this trip. Plus we learned how to scuba dive. Like I said, BEST VACATION EVER!!

If you could go back in time and kick the crap out of someone, who would it be?
That *BLEEPING* *BLEEP* who stole my laundry out of the dryer at our old apartment complex two years ago. The person stole my favorite pajama pants, my favorite T-shirt, my bathing suit, my UNDERWEAR. I felt so violated. If I could go back in time and catch that person in the act, I would open up such a can of whoop-ass!

Name one habit that makes other people plot your demise.
Talking too quietly. I'M SORRY. I'LL USE MY MAN VOICE NEXT TIME.

What song would you like to be playing while you are kicking the crap out of someone?
How about "We're Not Gonna Take It" by Twisted Sister? Or maybe "Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns 'n' Roses. Or anything by AC/DC. Just need an awesome rock song. (It's ridiculous how much time I spent looking up songs on YouTube, ha ha.)

Where da muffin top at?
Hanging over my waistband. Thanks for pointing that out.

How many goats, stacked atop one another like Yertle's Turtles, would it take to reach the moon?
Ummmmm, 100,000? I'm not good at distances. Are we talking tail to nose, or are the goats standing on each other's backs? The bottom ones would get squished - are we taking into account the inevitable squish factor?

Describe yourself using obscure Latin words.
Proin non velit nec potuisse (wishes she could do magic). Yes, I used Google Translate. Someone really should come up with a way to do magic. This is the closest I could get: magic wand remote control.

Why does evil exist?
Because Voldemort and Darth Vader make it look so cool. Though if I was evil, I wouldn't go for the snake look.

What the chiz are you thinking right now?
Someone should make a spoof video of Voldemort teaming up with Darth Vader. Or maybe doing a walk off, Zoolander style. Then, I thought about this Tumblr post by Tahereh Mafi and snickered.

-----------------------------------------------

There you have it! Now, the rules say I can tag as many or few blog buddies as I want. Here are my picks:

1. Taryn Tyler
2. L.T. Host
3. Adam Heine
4. K.M. Criddle

Pick a funny nickname for number 1.
Oh gosh, I'm not good at nicknames. I'll go with "Queen of Old School Fantasy" because she rocks at it.

Make up a rhyme about number 2.
Horses, bunnies and cats,
I never see L.T. wear hats,
She's creative and sweet,
Doesn't like people touching her feet,
She's my bestest pal, and that's that!

Where would number 3 hide in the event of the apocalypse?
Inside a perfectly structured outline, safe from harm.

Where does number 4 purchase her pants?
If we're talking about those comfy crop pants, I think she got them at Target. I gotta get me some of those!

If I tagged you, feel free to play along! Or not. Up to you :). Have a great week.

  2. Ditto everything Miss lovely Cherie said above. Aw, and it's cute that you talk quiet. Your MAN VOICE cracked me up!! Better to have a man voice than man hands. HEH. (my tribute to the eternal Seinfield). And that magic wand is AWESOME! WANT. Thanks so much for playing! You rocked it, as I knew you would. :)

  3. Haha! Voltemort the cat is truely frightening.

  4. @Cheri - Thank you! :D

@Anita - Thanks for tagging me! It was fun :). I have the total opposite of a man voice. A lady at work calls me Minnie Mouse. I don't have man hands (thank goodness!) but more like kid hands. I wish I hand elegant, womanly hands *sigh*. I know, I TOTALLY want that magic wand.

@Taryn - I know, right? Wouldn't want to wake up with THAT staring you in the face.

  5. I got tagged in this meme and I've been working on it. So funny how there's different versions but so close the same! Your pics are so perfect! Great post!

  6. "Inside a perfectly structured outline, safe from harm."

I feel like I just met you, but you already know me so well. I hope you don't mind if I answer the questions here in your comments.

    Are you a rutabaga?
No. Heck, no. What's a rutabaga?

When was the last time you ate lion meat?
Probably in a past life. Though if I had moved faster, there was a Night Zoo down the road that served zebra meat I could've eaten, before everybody got mad about it.

Upload a heartwarming picture of something that makes you smile.
    That's easy: my daughter.

If you could go back in time and kick the crap out of someone, who would it be?
My teenage self, to just get over it and talk to that girl or write that book or do whatever the heck it was I was afraid of (hint: everything). Unfortunately, kicking the crap out of me would probably have had the opposite effect...

Name one habit that makes other people plot your demise.
My tendency to take questions seriously that others meant to be fun (see 3 questions down).

What song would you like to be playing while you are kicking the crap out of someone?
Moonlight Sonata while the crap-kicking scene is played out in slow motion. (Seriously, try watching football sometime with the sound muted and Moonlight Sonata on. Instant replays, in particular, are transformed into works of art :-).

    Where da muffin top at?
Muffin top? Wait, is that a thing?

How many goats, stacked atop one another like Yertle's Turtles, would it take to reach the moon?
Distance to moon: 356,400 to 406,700 km
Average height of a goat (from hoofs to withers): We'll say 80 cm.
So somewhere between 445.5 million and 508.4 million goats, depending on where the moon is in its orbit (and you could probably save yourself about 12 million goats by stacking them from the top of Mt. Everest or something). (Also, there are like 700 million goats in the world, so we can actually do this!).

Describe yourself using obscure Latin words.
These are all the Latin words I know: Carpe Editio.

    Why does evil exist?
    Honest answer: Because we're selfish.
True answer: Because people keep giving James Patterson money.

What the chiz are you thinking right now?
"What the shoznat does chiz mean?"

  7. HA. This is awesome. I am a HUGE FAN of that rhyme up there-- so true! :D

Although I do wear hats at work. But that's because it's kind of required there, what with the sun and all.

Adam-- freakin' hilarious, man. I don't think I can top that.

  8. Whoops. Carpe Editio was supposed to link to the explanation, not the picture. If you remain confused, go here.

  9. Bwa ha! Keri, you are a friggin RIOT. And that Volde-cat is waiting to kill me the moment I fall asleep, I just know it.

Thanks for the tag...I'll see what I can come up with! (lion meat? Urp.)

  10. @Mandie - Yay, can't wait to read yours! I think the original meme asks about the last time you ate chicken meat, lol.

@Adam - Hahaha! Your answers are awesome. I just KNEW you would calculate the actual number of goats it would take to get to the moon. I started to and gave up. I also have a tendency to take questions seriously, even when they're jokes. Then I just smile awkwardly and hope the person changes the subject. Love that pic of your daughter - so cute! I also like "carpe editio." I'm going to have to use that one. I'm glad to have gotten to know you on blogs and twitter :). You were one of the first to welcome me into the writing world and I haven't forgotten. Thanks!

@L.T. - Yay! I'm glad you like the poem. I think I've seen you wear a hat maybe one time when we went on vacation and that's it. I'm not a hat person either :).

@Marie - I will have nightmares about that Volde-cat. It's so evil - haha! Looking forward to your answers :).
